Manufacturer’s Declaration of Product Safety

1. Product Identification This declaration applies to the following products from our portfolio:
Product A: 12-page board book with integrated passive NFC inlay (NTAG213).
Product B: 6-page 2-fold roll-fold brochure made of cardboard with integrated passive NFC inlay (NTAG213).
2. Technical Description The aforementioned products contain a passive NFC inlay (chip type NTAG213). This component does not have an independent power source and does not emit active radio signals. It is solely activated inductively by an external reader (e.g., a smartphone) for interaction.
3. Confirmation of Conformity
Radio Equipment Directive (RED 2014/53/EU): Due to their passive nature and the absence of an independent power source, these products do not fall under the scope of the Radio Equipment Directive. Consequently, CE marking is neither provided for nor permitted for these products.
REACH & RoHS Compliance: The installed components (chip inlay, adhesives, substrate material) comply with the applicable EU regulations, specifically REACH (EC) No. 1907/2006 and RoHS 2011/65/EU.
Product Safety: The products have been designed in accordance with the general requirements of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG). Due to the construction method (chip encased between layers of material), physical interaction with the component by the user is excluded. When used as intended, the products pose no risk to the user.
